Our Cinematics Team

The Cinematics team at Guerrilla is a multi-disciplinary team creating the narrative sequences for our projects. This contains pre-viz, layout, animation, integration, dialogue, lighting as well as conversation design. We are looking for a Cinematic Lead to guide our team of talented animators in the creation of astonishing 3D animation experiences. 

What you will do

  • Lead the cinematic team in development of AAA quality cinematics;
  • Be the spokesperson for the team and discipline to the rest of the company;
  • Collaborate with the Directors and their respective departments (Cinematics, Conversation, Art, Design, Sound and Animation) on mood, style and rhythm ensuring unified visual continuity across all departments involved in the cinematics creation process;
  • Partner with the Producer, and Production Manager to scope and prioritize each element of the cinematic production, facilitating schedules of cinematic artists and resources, planning for present and future needs;
  • Provide artistic and technical notes to the team during the setup of the task and all the way to final integration;
  • Partner with Cinematic Technology Director and relevant technical leads to collaborate, share knowledge, improve the quality of tools and work on present and future workflows and pipelines;
  • Provide creative as well as technical briefs as well as oversee the quality of outsourced cinematic content together with other stake holders;
  • Encourage creativity and participation from all team members through mentoring, training and inspiration - helping them to grow and develop.

  

Who you are

We’d love to hear from you if:

  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience working in the AAA video games or similar industry (Special Effects production for TV or Cinema);
  • You have a thorough understanding of the entire CGI development process within cinematics production (for games and its specific needs). This includes knowledge and experience in all areas of CGI animation production, such as  modeling, rigging, texturing, look development, environments, pre-viz, layout, creature motion, lighting, audio and VFX;
  • You have a thorough understanding of photography and film with strong artistic skills including knowledge of color, lighting, perspective, scale and composition;
  • You are an excellent organizational, communication and project management skills combined with a teamwork oriented attitude;
  • You have enthusiasm and desire for long term development in a management role;
  • You have excellent leadership and people skills being able to drive change and inspire others to generate new ideas and brings the best out of each team member;
  • You have an ability to efficiently work with departments from other fields of expertise;
  • You have experience in game engine/editors and related tools/pipelines;
  • You are knowledgeable with latest developments/tech/workflows within the field;
  • You have a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest evolving technologies, workflows and processes.
