Our Cinematics team

Together with other art departments, our Cinematics team helps to create outstanding visual storytelling. As a Cinematic Lighting Artist you are responsible for adding the final touches to a large variety of real-time Cinematics. Our team sets the mood and atmosphere for each scene, supporting the story and revealing the beauty of characters and environments.

What you will do 

As a Cinematic Lighting Artist, your main tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Develop and place character lighting schemes and additional environment lighting to create visually compelling and great looking cinematics and trailers;
  • Work together with Cinematic Artists, Animators, Environment and FX artists to optimize the visual look and performance of scenes;
  • Work with the World Lighting department to ensure proper integration with gameplay;
  • Adjust Post Processing (such as ambience, exposure, depth of field, and weather settings) to support the intended visual look;
  • Contribute to the development and placement of special effects related to lighting and atmosphere (such as lens flares, fog, god rays and camera optics etc.)

Who you are

We’d love to hear from you when you:

  • Have experience in a professional movie or game production pipeline as a Lighting Artist;
  • Worked on at least one AA/AAA movie or game title;
  • Have a portfolio showcasing your lighting skills (including character lighting);
  • Have a strong sense of lighting theory (color space, exposure, natural light, reflections etc.);
  • Have a good understanding of cinematography and dramaturgy, the use of camera technology, scene blocking and lighting to set the mood;
  • Have an awareness of performance impacts and you are able to balance between visual quality and performance requirements;
