Create settlements and civilian life – bring reality into life.

The Living World Team is a multi-disciplinary group of designers, programmers, animators and artists that work tightly together to bring our villages, cities, cultures and civilization to life. The team collaborates with our writers, tech & tool developers, game direction and art direction to push the liveliness of our world to new heights.

As a Living World Designer you work in a team that creates settlements and civilian life. Your main tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Designing the layout of settlements with both usability and aesthetics in mind to give the player a real-life and memorable experience;
  • Implement crowd setups and place NPC animations in order to show off a richness in life and tell stories supporting our games’ narrative;
  • Work closely with other design teams and art departments to bring our settlements and cultures to life. This means that you will often solve problems together with colleagues from other disciplines.

We’d love to hear from you match the following criteria;

  • You are a designer with an artistic eye for environmental storytelling and solid technical capabilities;
  • You have experience with various game engines, editors and their workflows;
  • You have a proven track record of at least one shipped title and ideally with an Open World game;
  • You have great written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience developing towns and crowds in video games and experience in animation is a big plus!
